Waze is the answer to all the questions you have about navigation and traffic on your mobile. It guarantees that you will find the address you are looking for without traffic jams or any other obstacle on your way, all in real time, adjusting to the changes that may occur on the street.
Developed in 2008, it has more than 100 million users sharing information on what they find on the road. You find it available to download for free on Android and iOS. For other platforms, earlier versions of Waze are available.
There are many similar, but none controls the situation so much with Waze, being constantly updated to offer any type of change that may occur. To use the application you only need a mobile phone with GPS function and Internet connection. But beware! The battery consumption is really high, so it is always useful to have a charger on hand in the car.
It is the contribution of the drivers themselves that will enrich the use of this, they are called Wazer, since it uses all the data it receives to predict the times that you will need to reach your destination and adapt new routes while driving. The arrival time already indicates it to you before you start the journey.
In case of traffic jams, accidents, police checks or construction sites, they will inform you immediately and your path will change so that you can use others and maintain the best and fastest possible route, therefore, you can drive on busy roads and even so save time. You can also manually report traffic information, which helps improve the mapping system. Make the streets safer for you and for all users.
With Waze you always have everything in view and get the latest data on your mobile phone. Although the design is not very pleasant and it is not very clear, this is offset by the many other features it offers.
The application is fully customizable, you can change from a 2D to 3D screen and vice versa, choose from a list what type of voice you want to be indicating your path and the language in which you want it. If there is no voice you like, Waze allows you to record yourself and then play it back. This will make the trip as comfortable as possible, in addition you will always find the closest and cheapest gas station, so you can pay less for your fuel.
It also provides you with warnings about parking in the area you are in: especially if you travel to unknown places, it is very useful that they offer you information about nearby parking lots and not have to go around places you do not know. Who has not lost their car in a large parking lot? Take a photo from the app itself and mark the location where your parked car is.
Another useful feature for forgetful people is the Headlight Reminder, although it only works on Android devices. If you are in a street that requires its use, an alarm will be activated.
Switching between apps while traveling can be dangerous for traffic, so Waze has integrated Spotify and you don't have to give up your favorite music. To do this, you just have to activate it and confirm the Waze navigation option on Spotify. The music platform icon will now appear on the map where the music is controlled. Unfortunately, this feature can only be enjoyed by someone with an Android phone.
If you already know in advance where you are going to travel in the near future or have an appointment scheduled, you can enter it in Waze previously indicating the dates and times and Waze will directly remind you in time to be on time.
Since Waze is used on a larger scale, it is normal that social interaction within the app has grown. If you enter with your Facebook account it allows you to share your location with your friends and see where they are going if they are heading to the same place, so the excuse of "I am arriving ..." when you have not even left home will not be worth it. But if you want to find new friends on the road you can also do it, send a message or a virtual beep to nearby drivers who are using it.
Waze has decided to add a prominent feature amid increasing vehicle usage. The app now warns about arrival at a train crossing. Although the tool was already available in some countries, it will now be in all regions. It draws on official information or data provided by the community
